Copy Writing: Book Translation & Publishing

Translating Vision Across Languages and Cultures

Bringing a message to life across linguistic boundaries requires far more than direct word-for-word translation. It demands cultural resonance, emotional clarity, and intentional adaptation. In our work with Pastor Béni-Christ Kibombi, we didn’t just translate his words from French to English; we translated his worldview, spiritual convictions, and leadership insights into language that speaks authentically to a broader audience.

This process honored the depth of his message while tailoring it for a multicultural readership, allowing the vision to remain powerful, relevant, and deeply rooted in both origin and outreach.

Client's Challenge

Capturing & Releasing the Author's heart - his thoughts, convictions, beliefs, and passion in English for the American audience.

When Pastor Béni-Christ Kibombi, founder and senior pastor of Shammah Church of Saint Louis, approached us with a deeply personal literary project, the challenge was clear: he had written a 400-page book in French, rooted in spiritual insight and cultural experience, and needed a version that could resonate with an English-speaking audience, many of whom share his Congolese heritage or come from other French-speaking African nations.

Having previously worked with another local translator, Pastor Kibombi felt the initial translation didn’t fully capture the heart, depth, and intent of his message. At Muumba Web Digital, we took on the task not simply as translators but as collaborative editors, ensuring that every concept, story, and conviction was authentically preserved and conveyed.

Through ongoing dialogue, cultural contextualization, and theological nuance, we helped revise even portions of the original French manuscript, so the final English version would reflect the author’s voice and vision. The result is a completed hardcover book – now ready for market – and a downloadable e-book edition that bridges languages, cultures, and spiritual insight with clarity and purpose.

Methodology: From Translation to Transformation

A Collaborative Translation & Consultative Editing Approach
Beni-Christ Kibombi's Books

Our approach to translating Pastor Béni-Christ Kibombi’s French manuscript into English was not a linear conversion. It was a multi-layered process rooted in linguistic precision, cultural empathy, and editorial refinement. From the outset, we treated the project as a co-authored journey, blending translation with guided revision to preserve the author’s voice while enhancing clarity for a new audience.

We began by reviewing the original manuscript in its entirety to understand the thematic structure, theological context, and cultural nuances embedded within the narrative. Working closely with the author, we held a series of conversations that helped uncover underlying concepts and idiomatic expressions that might require adaptation for English-speaking readers.

In some instances, we suggested American cultural references and experiences to serve as more relatable illustrations of the spiritual and life lessons conveyed in the book. This iteractive process led not only to a more natural English rendition but also to refinements in the original French text itself.

Every section underwent editorial review to ensure theological accuracy, emotional resonance, and stylistic consistency. We paid special attention to maintaining tone, structure, and flow so the translation felt authentic and intentional, never mechanical. The end result was an English version that captures both the spirit and intellect of the author’s message.

Results & Deliverables: A Multilingual Platform for Purpose and Reach

The culmination of our collaboration with Pastor Béni-Christ Kibombi is a professionally translated and edited 400-page book, now available in both hardcover and softcover formats, as well as a downloadable e-book edition. The work doesn’t stop at the book’s content. It extends to how the message is delivered, discovered, and sustained.

We built a fully optimized, visually compelling website that serves as both his blog and online bookstore, offering flexibility beyond Amazon’s reach for local and direct sales. The site is not only a digital storefront. It’s a strategic hub for engagement, updated with three original blog posts to initiate audience connection. The book cover was custom-designed by Muumba Web Digital’s graphics team to reflect both the heart of the author’s message and the professional quality of the publication. The book has been successfully uploaded to Amazon and is scheduled for release this coming Thursday.

This launch marks the beginning of Phase Two: Marketing & Outreach. The website design is the first anchor point, soon to be followed by multi-channel promotion across social media, search engines, and podcast platforms. To expand accessibility, the website is being translated into French, ensuring the campaign reaches both the Congolese diaspora and wider French-speaking communities. Marketing efforts will run in both English and French, reinforcing the book’s bilingual and intercultural spirit.

What truly distinguishes this project is the mentorship layer we’ve built into it. Throughout the process, Muumba Web Digital has provided ongoing coaching to Pastor Kibombi on essential business leadership skills and practices, audience communication strategies, brand development, and entrepreneurship, ensuring he not only publishes a book but stewards a movement.
